Binh Dinh People’s Committee on Sep.18 promulgated a scheme to provide affordable housing for poor households in the period of 2009-2011.
Accordingly, there will be 3,805 poor households in rural areas offered housing with the sum of 109.035 trillion VND, of which the Central budget finances over 28 billion VND, the province contributes 2.55 billion VND, a loan of 30.44 billion VND is from the Bank for Social Policies, and nearly 48 billion VND comes from other sources.
2,197 poor households in three districts of An Lao, Van Canh, and Vinh Thanh will be helped this year, 256 households in disaster hit areas and disadvantaged areas in 2010, and housing will be offered to 1,082 poor families in other areas in 2011.
