668 poor households receive Tet gifts

Bank for Development and Investment of Vietnam presented 668 gifts to poor households in An Lao district, the central province of Binh Dinh, aiming to help them celebrate the Tet (lunar New Year) holiday.

Being one of 60 poorest districts nationwide, An Lao was aided with VND32 billion to build schools and health stations and eliminate makeshift houses.

Under the PM’s Decision No. 167, 668 poor households were funded to build houses last year.

In 2010, about VND20 billion is expected to be disbursed to finish social works in An Lao district.
