IUU catch certificate implemented

Binh Dinh People’s Committee on January 29 held a meeting on implementing the Instruction No 14/CT-UBND on the EU’s IUU catch certificate, under which all seafood export shipments to the EU must clearly show the origin of the products, including the sea area where the fish are caught and the names of the fishing boats.

At the meeting, representatives of Agriculture and Rural Development Department provided detailed information on the new IUU (illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing) law which took effect on January 1.
