39 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers honored

The State President Nguyen Minh Triet has promulgated the decision on bestowing the title “Vietnamese Heroic Mother” on three living mothers and posthumously granting the title to 35 mothers, who passed away, in the central province of Binh Dinh.

Three living mothers include Vo Thi Nhuong (in Tuy Phuoc district), Tran Thi Sang (in An Hoa commune), and Dinh Thi Doi (in An Lao district).

Statistics released by the province’s Department of Labour, War Invalids, and Social Affairs showed 2,001 mothers in Binh Dinh were bestowed the title “Vietnamese Heroic Mother” and 247 are still living.
