Binh Dinh People’s Committee has suggested that Ministry of Industry and Trade should add an investment project of upgrading the hydroelectric power plant on Vo River to the National small and medium hydroelectric power plant development plan.

The 250-kW hydroelectric power plant on Vo river was built in 1984 at An Lao township, An Lao district with aim to take full advantage of water let out from a dam there, supplying more electricity for the locality. Its capacity lowers down at 125kW now because of degradation.

As in the proposal of the provincial People’s Committee, the plant’s capacity would be expectedly increased to 1.25MW. Upgrading the plant was feasible and highly economical, contributing to the national energy supply, said relevant bodies and agencies in their reports.
