Wild boar husbandry develops

The wild boar husbandry in Binh Dinh has shown a tendency of robust development in recent years because of its high economic value, said Binh Dinh Centre of Agriculture and Fishery Promotion.

There are more than 100 household raisers all over the province are practicing the wild boar farming with total over 1,500 animals.

Hoai An district has 11 raisers with 321 animals; Hoai Nhon district 10 raisers with 182 animals; An Lao district: 35 raisers with 120 animals; Quy Nhon city 10 raisers with 350 animals, Phu My 4 raisers with 175 animals and Phu Cat 5 raisers with 145 animals.

The centre has bred so far 20 wide boars at 4 places in the districts to serve as models for more than 1,000 farm households in the province.
