58 blood donations held since early 2010

Binh Dinh has organized 58 voluntary blood donations since early this year, 15 percent higher than the same period last year.

A total o 1,893 units came from 7,573 volunteers, meeting 83 percent of the health sector’s demand for emergency and treatment.  In addition, hundreds of people voluntarily had their blood drawn in urgent situations.

Many organizations performed the blood donation campaigns well, including: Binh Dinh Labour Federation, Binh Dinh Secondary School of Economics and Technology, Binh Dinh Public Security, the Air Force Regiment No. 940, Quy Nhon University, Binh Dinh College and Air Defence Brigade No. 573. Central armed forces at Binh Dinh also participated in the campaigns.
