The first national award for Vietnam construction industry, “2010 Vietnam Gold Cup for construction industry” will be granted on November 13. The award is to prize 65 construction works which satisfy typical high quality standards of Vietnam’s construction industry in its 2000-2010 industrialization, modernization and international integration. The award is considered a premise for an annual national award in construction quality.
Among 300 files, 65 were selected for the award, including 26 civil construction works such as Phu My Hung – based Skygarden 2 complex in Ho Chi Minh City, My Dinh National Stadium, the National Convention Centre, the T2 International Arrivals – Tan Son Nhat Airport.; 15 industrial works: Dung Quat Oil Refinery, Yaly Hydropower Plant, O Mon Themor-power plant, Phu My Nitrogenous Fertilizer Plant, Saigon Beer Plant at Cu Chi-based Northwest Industrial Park, etc.; 13 traffic works: section Ha Noi – Lang Son of the National Highway 1A from Km40+390 to Km94+679, Phu My Bridge, Hai Van Tunnel; 6 irrigation works: Dinh Binh Reservoir, KaLa Reservoir, Lang The Drainage; 5 technical infrastructure works: Song Da Water Plant, Bay Mau Lake, Vinasat -1 satellite.
This is the very first national award jointly held by Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Ministry of Science and Technology. The Ministry of Construction takes charge of the award fund raising and organization of the award granting ceremony for the winners.
The ceremony will be held in Ha Noi on November 13
