Secretary of Binh Dinh provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien and provincial Vice Chairman Le Huu Loc held a meeting with the general director of Saigon Newport Corporation, Nguyen Dang Nghiem, on November 3.
Nghiem presented the company’s tasks implemented in Binh Dinh, including the construction of a central new port in Quy Nhon.
The new port is expected to be fully operational by November, 2011, according to Nghiem. He also expressed many thanks to the provincial leaders and functional bodies for their support.
Provincial Vice Chairman Loc said that the new port would enhance the province’s capacity for export and generate more employment opportunities for local people.
