Supporting poor farmers, their kids in Binh Dinh

Binh Dinh is one of three provinces benefiting from the “Giving farmers support to send teenagers to school” program.

The program funded by Tuoi Tre newspaper and GreenFeed Vietnam Joint Stock Company will offer 60 poor households in Long An province two-year, no-interest loans worth VND700 million in 2010, assisting them in educating their kids.

Farmers in two provinces of Binh Dinh and Hung Yen will benefit from the program in 2011 with the total loans of VND1.4 billion.

Their kids will be able to have chances to receive scholarships worth VND500,000- 3 million if they get high academic results.
