Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Trong Dam inspected the implementation of the Government’s Resolution No. 30a about the Rapid and Stable Poverty Reduction Programme at 3 low income districts of Binh Dinh province: Van Canh, Vinh Thanh and An Lao. Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh, leaders of relevant agencies and localities welcomed and reported to the deputy minister.
As in the implementation of the Resolution No. 30a, during the 2009-2010, the 3 districts received 135 billion VND (45 billion VND/locality) from the government infrastructure building budget allocation for construction of 84 works. The 3 localities were assisted with over 24.5 billion VND for production development. Their poor families were granted 2.000 houses. Their 600 rural workers including 354 ethnic people enjoyed vocational training services. 95,453 local people were offered health insurance cards, etc.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam highly appreciated the implementation of the Resolution in Binh Dinh and acknowledged some petitions by the province. The deputy minister reminded that the province should keep on close inspection and supervision towards the implementation of the Resolution, helping the local poor people get rid of poverty fast and stably.
