51th anniversary of Vietnam’s forest sector marked

A ceremony was held in Vinh Thanh district on November 27, marking the 51th anniversary of Vietnam’s forest sector (November 28, 1959-2010).

At the ceremony, over 400 participants reviewed the 51-year history of Vietnam’s forest sector. Uncle Ho launched a movement calling on people to grow trees on November 28, 1959 and this date has become the Day of Vietnam’s forest sector since 1995.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development also held many activities on this occasion.
