A meeting jointly held by the health education and communication center and Binh Dinh Pulmonary Tuberculosis Hospital took place on November 29, aiming to mobilize the whole community to prevent and control the tuberculosis.
Vietnam stands at 12 among 22 nations that have highest number of patients with the disease, according to the statistics released by the Health sector. The report also said that nearly 2000 tuberculars have been found in Binh Dinh every year.
At the meeting, the participants talked about the shortcomings in the tuberculosis prevention and control, such as communication, infrastructure, and manpower.
Most agreed that it’s necessary to promote the health education and communication in the community. The shortage of manpower and other disadvantages must be improved.
