The province’s Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Board proposed mobilizing nearly 17000 units of blood in 2011.

Accordingly, 28 localities and bodies will join the voluntary programs next year, including districts, city, schools, provincial bodies, organizations, and armed forces.

10,268 blood units were donated this year, meeting 80 percent of the demand for emergency aid and treatment at medical facilities.
