Workshop on supporting industry opens

A workshop on the supporting industry in the central key economic region opened in Quang Ngai Province on December 3.

The representatives of Vietnam Institute of Economics, National Institute for Science and Technology Policy and Strategy Studies, and five provinces in the central key economic region presented some reports on the potential of the supporting industry in the region.

The reports emphasized the industry plays an important role in attracting foreign capital in the next 10 years.

The participants worked out measures on infrastructure, cooperation among big economic regions and key industries. They also asked for more preferential policies as well as solutions for science-technology, finance, and manpower training.

Concluding the workshop, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh agreed upon the studies on measures to developing the supporting industry in the key central economic region.
