Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thien worked with the local authority in An Lao district on December 21.
According to the report, 293 houses were submerged, 100 hectares of rice and cassava fields were destroyed, and the irrigation works and many roads were damaged during the floods last month. The total loss is estimated at VND32 billion.
The local authority asked support for the repair of important roads, houses, and irrigation works. Also, the district required 100 tonnes of rice to help its flood victims.
Thien asked the local authority to closely coordinate with relevant bodies to overcome the flood aftermath, helping local people prepare for the Winter-Spring crop.
The district will also be offered the financial assistance to repair damaged items, he added. As for the road DT 629, the Department of Transport was asked to study the design again and a proposal will be submitted for the Government for approval.
Provincial Secretary Thien also asked the local authority to give special attention to those who are facing the risk of hunger, aiming to give timely support. Difficulties in life, goods, and prices must be resolved.
He reminded the district’s leaders about the Party construction, official training, national defend and security as well as other social issues.
