The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a meeting to review the quality management of agro-forestry and aquatic products in 2010 on December 22.
The province’s agriculture sector has implemented some projects this year, such as epidemic safety and food safety for aquatic products, hygiene and food safety for agricultural products, and hygiene and safety for aquatic products.
Under the projects, the agriculture sector coordinated with the mass media and associations to popularize the legal documents on the quality management of hygiene and food safety for agro-forestry and aquatic products.
More than 40 training courses were held, let alone some production and farming models. The functional bodies also inspected the implementation of the regulations on hygiene and food safety. In addition, 250 fishing vessels and 50 small-scale businesses were licensed.
