Binh Dinh Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography jointly held a workshop on the sustainable management and exploitation of De Gi lagoon in Quy Nhon on December 27.

All participants agreed that De Gi is one of the most diversified lagoons; however, the natural resources of the lagoon have gradually been exhausted due to the inefficiency of management and exploitation.

The experts worked out some measures, such as: establishing the management board for De Gi lagoon, piloting the recovery of mangrove forest, and dividing the lagoon into functional areas for the sustainable development goal.
