Binh Dinh fishermen have rescued five Philippine citizens from a sinking boat off the coast of Binh Dinh province, said the provincial border guard force.
Pham De, a Binh Dinh fisherman, and the others aboard a boat on February 7 rescued the Philippine citizens when their fishing boat was sinking at sea, about 60 nautical miles from Song Tu Dong Island and 300 miles from the Binh Dinh coast.
De’s boat was on its way back to port, carrying the rescuees who are in good health.
The provincial authorities are working with the diplomatic agencies of the two countries towards reuniting the Philippine fishermen and their families as soon as possible
