Meeting on economic cooperation, rural development held in Quy Nhon

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) coordinated with the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province to hold a meeting on implementing the tasks of the economic cooperation and rural development sector in Quy Nhon city on March 10.

MARD Deputy Minister Ho Xuan Hung, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung, and leaders of relevant bodies attended the meeting.

Participants have talked about the results as well as shortcomings of the economic cooperation and rural development last year and the implementation of tasks and solutions in 2010.

As planned, MARD and the Ministry of Planning and Investment will make some amendments to the Law on Co-operative, Decree on incentives for the co-operative development.

Functional bodies will continue to strengthen the operation of co-operatives nationwide and implement the Resolution on agriculture, rural areas, and farmers and national target programs on the hunger elimination and poverty reduction.
