The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s delegation headed by its Deputy Minister Hua Duc Nhi went on an inspection tour about the forest fire protection and forest management in the central province of Binh Dinh on April 8.

According to the reports, the provincial functional bodies found out 1,071 cases violating the Law on Forest Protection and Development in 2009 and the first three months of 2010.

Also, 11 forest fires happened across the province last year, let alone cases in which forest violators are against those who are on duty.

At the meeting, the provincial leaders asked MARD to increase the budget for the forest protection and management and promulgate policies, aimed at helping forest wardens fulfill their job.

Deputy Minister Nhi highly valued the province’s efforts in the forest protection and management, warning the province about the risk of forest fire due to hot weather.
