A meeting on the implementation of the Norwegian Red Cross Society-sponsored disaster risk reduction project in Binh Dinh was held in Quy Nhon on April 12.

The representatives of Vietnam Red Cross Society, Norwegian Red Cross, and other bodies attended the event.

Under the project, the first phase will be carried out in three communes of An My (Hoai An district), Cat Chanh (Phu Cat), and Phuoc Thang (Tuy Phuoc) from April to December.

The project will then be implemented in other key communes of three above-mentioned districts until 2014.

The project is aimed at helping Red Cross volunteers and local people acquire more knowledge of the disaster reduction and supporting these communes before, during, and after disasters.
