A ceremony launching the national week on clean water and environmental sanitation was held in Phu Phong town, Tay Son district, on April 27.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province Ho Quoc Dung asked functional bodies and local authorities to take advantage of different sources to build water supply systems in water polluted areas.

He also steered them to mobilize people to join public activities, aimed at protecting the clean water source and environment.

Thanks to the sources of capital from the Central and provincial budgets and international organizations, 118 water supply systems and scores of well have been built.

However, some are not still aware of the importance of the clean water and environmental sanitation, causing the water and environmental pollution in many areas.
