Seminar on climate change held

The third seminar on responding to climate change has been held in Quy Nhon city. The event was jointly organized by the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province, the Institute for Social and Environmental Transition (ISET) and Challenge to Change (CtC).

About 100 experts coming from ISET, CtC, and National Institute for Science and Technology Policy and Strategy Studies (NISPASS) and the leaders of relevant bodies attended the seminar.

The representatives of the “Capacity building for climate change adaptation in Quy Nhon city” project briefed the participants on the second-phase operation of the project.

Accordingly, some activities have been carried out since February, 2009. The staff of the project also joined the workshops of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Thailand, of the Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network (ACCCRN) in Da Nang city and Ha Noi.

Also, three pilot projects on climate change adaptation were implemented in Quy Nhon.
