Death anniversary of patriot Mai Xuan Thuong marked

A ceremony was solemnly held at the tomb of Mai Xuan Thuong in Binh Tuong commune, Tay Son district on May 27, marking the 123rd death anniversary of the patriot Mai Xuan Thuong.

Participating in the ceremony, the district’s leaders and people reviewed his life and career. During the Can Vuong (Rescuing the Emperor) movement in Binh Dinh in late 19th century, Mai Xuan Thuong bravely led the rebel forces to fight against the French soldiers.
