High export value in Phu Tai, Long My IZs

Enterprises in Phu Tai and Long My industrial zones (IZs) have reaped considerable growth in the first five month this year, according to the province’s Economic Zone Authority.

Their industrial production value reached 981 billion VND in the first five month of 2010, an increase of 38.7 percent against the previous year’s corresponding period, of which the forest products processing sector recorded a growth of 43 percent.

The five months’ export value hit 85.3 million USD, a surge of 24.9 percent over the same period last year. The export of forest products was also up 43 percent.

At present, many forest product processing companies have signed new contracts, ensuring the stable industrial production value and export turnover in two IZs.
