Deputy Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh received the Volunteer Service Abroad’s (VSA) Programme Manager for Asia, Mui Ngah Lee, on May 31.

At the meeting, Mrs Mui Ngah Lee briefed the participants on the annual cooperation programs between VSA’s partners and volunteers. She also talked about the upcoming plans between Binh Dinh and VSA.

At present, VSA has been focusing on the sustainable rural livelihood project; however, the effectiveness of the safe vegetable program has still fallen short of expectations.

VSA will continue to give priority over the rural livelihood project, aquatic source protection, and specialized education program for disabled children.

Deputy Vice Chairwoman Binh said that it’s time for the long-term cooperation programs between two sides.

She also emphasized that the province needs more VSA members who are experts in building plan for the development of prioritized issues.
