6.4 billions VND financed to waste collection facilities

The Municipal People’s Committee had just agreed to finance 6.4 billions VND (337,375 USD) for purchase of waste collection facilities in Quy Nhon City, Director of Quy Nhon Urban Environment Co., Ltd, Nguyen Nen Danh, has said on June 4.

Of the total sum of the investment, 2.8 billions VND will be set aside for beach cleaners that drag a raking or sifting service over beach sand to remove remains of crabs, shellfishes, plastic bags and other waste matters. It is expected that the beach of the city will become cleaner and more attractive to tourists.

The beach cleaner is a kind of tractor which can practice on the sand beach with its raking equipments at the back. While scooping or dragging the beach sand with rubbish in it, pick-up blade of the vehicle can adjust to amount of the litter. After being filtered out by the vibrating screening belt, sand fall back the beach and is leveled with a lever behind the trash bin.

Besides, the company will set 3.6 billions VND to buy 2 vehicles of waste pressing and scrolling, building a boat for surface water waste collection.
