450 women, including owners of small- and very small-scale enterprises and those who have prepared for starting a business, joined the project on capacity building for women entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs-to-be.
The project has been implemented in the central province of Binh Dinh yesterday (June 7) and it is expected to last for one year, from March, 2010 to March, 2011.
The United Way Worldwide funds the project with 30,000 USD which is pumped through the Binh Dinh Women’s Union.
The project is aimed at improving small-scale women entrepreneurs’ knowledge of business management and gender equality, helping reduce poverty and eradicate hunger, improve the people’s living standard, and promote the women’s role in the socio-economic development.
