29 AIDS patients in Binh Dinh have been treated with the antiretroviral drug (ARV) until June.
A total of 50 AIDS patients AIDS in the whole province are now required to be treated with ARV.
Accessing to ARV treatment are facing difficulties due to high expenditure for pre-treatment test, the discrimination against AIDS patients, and life-prolonged treatment, according to doctor Pham Van Hung, Deputy Director of provincial HIV/AIDS Prevention Center.
The amount of ARV is now allocated sufficiently in accordance with the patients’ needs. The health clinics in districts of Phu Cat and Hoai Nhon will start to treat AIDS patients with ARV in the coming time.
