18 fishermen on June 12 were rescued from their sinking boat by a Binh Dinh vessel, owned by Doan Van Nam in Phu Cat district.

The boat, which belonged to a Ly Son resident named Vo Xuan Tien, was struck by the mystery boat in the waters off Binh Dinh in central Vietnam at about 2.30 am. The unknown ship then ran away.

They were adrift for seven hours with rafts before being rescued.
