700 mln VND used for rescue, search operation

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province has promulgated Decision on allocating 700 million VND to four forces, serving the rescue and search operation this year.

Accordingly, 350 million VND will be offered to the province’s Military Headquarter, 180 million VND for provincial border guard, 120 million VND for Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and 50 million VND for the Office of the provincial People’s Committee.

The financial assistance is required to be used for the right purposes. The Steering Board for Storm and Flood Prevention, Search and Rescue is also asked to be strengthened, aiming at improving its effectiveness.

The 2009’s floods and storms left 33 deaths, 76 injuries, and a loss of more than 1 trillion VND.
