3,437 fishermen, farmers benefit from FSPS II

Under the Fisheries Sector Programme Support II (FSPS II), about 2,436 local poor farmers attended training courses on standardized technologies for brackish and fresh water aquaculture, according to Binh Dinh’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Besides, 900 poor fishermen were raised their awareness of maritime safety and law on fishery, creating advantageous conditions for their fishing exploitation.

Many short-term courses on post-harvest maintenance were also offered to 101 fishermen who are captains and crew members of fishing vessels.
