Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien on June 24 chaired a meeting with leaders of provincial bodies and agencies to evaluate the first six months’ socio-economic issues and tasks in the last six month of 2010.
The reports said that the province’s socio-economic situation was still kept stable and gained considerable growth in the first six month despite many disadvantageous factors.
Accordingly, the local GDP was estimated to reach VND 4.364 trillion, an increase of 10.48 percent against the previous year’s corresponding period, of which the industry and construction rose by 13.91 percent, services were up 13.39 percent, and agro-forestry-fishery products hiked 5.93 percent.
Also, according to the reports, the province’s total budget increased 6.4 percent with over VND1.187 trillion. Cultural and social issues continued to be improved.
It is forecasted that the province will still face many difficulties in the coming time. All relevant bodies and agencies are, thus, required to effectively carry out measures, boost the implementation of approved projects, and focus on some key issues, aiming to fulfill the last six months’ tasks.
