A ceremony was held at the Binh Dinh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism yesterday (June 8), marking the 50th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam’s tourism sector (June 9, 1960-2010).
Provincial Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh and representatives of relevant bodies and tour operators attended the event.
The province’s tourism sector has showed positive changes, reaping many considerable achievements. The people’s awareness of the importance of tourism is also raised and tourism services are more and more given special attention.
The tourism’s annual turnover dramatically increases, contributing to the province’s socio-economic development.
Binh acknowledged and praised the efforts of the tourism sector. She also expressed the hope that local bodies and tour operators will make all-out efforts to sustainably develop the province’s tourism sector.
