VND200 million has been invested in applying a new model in making clean salt by covering the surface of the salt making area with plastic canvas, said deputy head of the Rural Development Agency under the Binh Dinh Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Nguyen Van Tanh.
Accordingly, 45 salt-making households in Diem Van hamlet, Tuy Phuoc district’s Phuoc Thuan commune, selected to join the project, will be assisted in preferential borrowing interest, technologies as well as the output.
The new way of harvesting clean salt aims to help salt-workers change the traditional method and apply a better way of making high quality salt, increasing their income.
