Hoai Nhon’s aquaculture output reaches 18,034 tons

Thanks to advantageous weather, local fishermen have reaped high aquaculture output since early this year, according to the Hoai Nhon District’s Economic Division.

The district’s aquaculture output reached 18,034 tons, of which the ocean tuna output netted 3,627 tons, in the first six months of 2010, an increase of 8 percent compared with the same period last year. The revenue reached VND458 billion.

Hoai Nhon District now has 2,435 fishing boats, including over 700 offshore fishing boats with the capacity of up to 90CV.
