A workshop on the management, exploitation, and usage of water resources in Binh Dinh was held in Quy Nhon city on July 30.

The provincial management unit of the “Capacity building in assessing and managing water resources in Vietnam” (CAPAS) project and Binh Dinh Department of Natural Resources and Environment jointly held the workshop.

The participants talked about the CAPAS project, the water resources management in Binh Dinh, and other relevant issues.

Binh Dinh is one of provinces having varied water resources with four main river valleys and 400 irrigation works of all kinds.

However, the province is now witnessing the alarming frequency of drought, flood, and salt water intrusion, let alone the inefficiency of the water resources management, exploitation, and usage.

Experts said that Binh Dinh should consolidate its capacity for water resources management, boost the propagation, and popularize the law on water resources in the community.
