13:50', 4/8/ 2010 (GMT+7)

A seminar on export to northeast Asia was jointly held by Department of Local Industry under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the province’s Department of Industry and Trade in Quy Nhon city.

More than 100 experts and enterprises in central and Central Highlands regions joined the seminar.

The northeast Asia market plays an important role to Vietnam’s export and import, including central and Central Highland regions.

As for the central province of Binh Dinh, its export turnover value to the northeast Asia market reached US$80 million last year, particularly the China’s market with US$55 million. The northeast Asia is quite familiar to Vietnam owing to their similarity of culture and taste; however, it strictly requires the deadline of delivery, production procedure, and the quality of products.

At the seminar, the experts mentioned the shortcomings of managers, policy makers, and enterprises in exporting to the northeast Asia market.

Also, an online export portal was introduced at the seminar, aiming to help enterprises improve their capacity for export.
