Nearly USD 3.7 mln invested in city’s drainage, wastewater collection

The working drawing and construction cost estimate of Quy Nhon City Environmental Sanitation Sub-Project (phase 2) and the component of drainage and wastewater collection construction in the south of the city have been approved, the Office of Binh Dinh provincial People’s Committee announced on August 24.

The project management board would act as the representative for the investor (Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee). The Vietnam Water, Sanitation and Environment Joint Stock company (VIWASE) was the contractor who had prepared the working drawing and the cost estimate.

According to the working drawing, drains would be built along roads of Xuan Thuy, Xuan Dieu, Ghenh Rang, and other roads in the city. Some inner-city wastewater pump stations would also be constructed.

The total estimated cost would reach USD 3,690,919.

The Quy Nhon City Environmental Sanitation Sub-Project was approved by the Government in 2006 with the total investment of USD 57.2 million.
