Export turnover up over 33 pct

The province’s enterprises have still overcome many difficulties, gaining positive result for the past months, according to the Binh Dinh Department of Industry and Trade.

The province’s total export turnover was estimated to achieve US$22.2 million since early August, an increase of 12 percent against the same period last year.

The export turnover reached nearly US$280 million in the first 8 months this year, attaining 80 percent of the yearly plan and increasing by over 33 percent compared to the same period last year.

Compared to the previous year’s corresponding period, the State-owned sector saw the export turnover value of US$ 9 million, a surge of 12.3 percent, the non-State sector was estimated to achieve US$261 million, a raise of nearly 34.4 percent, and foreign-invested enterprises contributed a value of USD 9.8 million, an increase of nearly 24 percent.
