15:17', 3/9/ 2010 (GMT+7)

A workshop on craft village development and jobs for farmers was jointly held by the Vietnam Farmers’ Association and its provincial affiliate in Quy Nhon city on August 31.

The participants pointed out the reality of craft villages in Binh Dinh and orientations for their development, aiming to create jobs and improve income for farmers.

Statistics showed that districts of An Nhon, Tay Son, Phu My, Hoai Nhon, and Phu Cat are the home of most craft villages.

Some shortcomings were also mentioned at the workshop, including the inefficiency of preferential policies, management capacity, and other issues.

The sustainable development of craft villages requires great concern from provincial and Central bodies.
