Community-based rehabilitation project proves effective

The AIFO-funded community-based rehabilitation project for person with disabilities has been implemented in four districts of Tay Son, An Nhon, Phu My, and Hoai Nhon since 2008.

Under the project, 22 training courses were held, offering 660 volunteers the essential information about first aid and rehabilitation techniques.

Also, the project partly donated some rehabilitation facilities to Binh Dinh General Hospital, Phu Phong General Hospital, and An Nhon district’s medical clinic.

A financial assistance of VND120 million was donated to the disabled, let alone 2 computers, 3 laptops, 3 projectors, 6 motorbikes, 5 cameras, 66 bicycles, 100 helmets, and documents on first aid and rehabilitation in residential area.

The total cost is more than VND1.9 billion.
