Over 472ha of new forest to be grown

Quy Nhon City has just finished the 2010’s afforestation plan. 472.8 ha of new forest are expected to be grown, of which 103.9ha will be planted for the sake of landscape at Ghenh Rang ward, 368.9 ha will be grown at Phuoc My commune under the WB3 project.

70 local households have already registered to join the afforestation.

Relevant authorities are drawing out a master plan to submit it to the municipal People’s Committee for approval.

Meanwhile, they are also counting on available forest premises, compensation, and the land clearance before handing over to Quy Nhon Forestry Co., Ltd, which will clear the forest vegetation and prepare seedlings for the afforestation in the forthcoming rainy season.
