Preparing for flood, storm prevention
14:41', 17/9/ 2010 (GMT+7)

The Binh Dinh Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has just ordered its affiliates to closely follow up weather patterns and issue timely warnings to localities and people for pro-active response to the natural disasters, said the Department’s director Phan Trong Ho.

All management boards of basic construction projects should inspect the ongoing building works to ensure their safe flood test pass, making protection plans for each of the work and lower sections of rivers.

In addition, the People’s Committees of districts which are located at the lower land of Dinh Binh water reservoir or are dependent on the reservoir should work out regulations on the flood control in the incoming stormy season.

The committees should also coordinate with other bodies to discourage the locals from crossing swift-flowing rivers, streams or flooded roads.
