Full-moon gifts presented to poor children

100 gifts worth VND50,000 each will be presented to poor and disadvantaged children in Van Canh district on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival. In addition, a night party will also be held at the district’s center, helping them enjoy the festival.

A event entitled “The 2010’s Mid-Autumn Festival misses Uncle Ho” is expected to be held at the Phuoc Loc commune’s stadium on September 21-22. Many activities will take place during two days, such as beautiful camping, lion dance, and story-telling contest about Uncle Ho. A mini volleyball competition and a singing contest for children were held in Phuoc Loc commune on September 19-20.

The Quy Nhon INTIMEX supermarket is now offering a 10-40 percent discount on toys, a 15 percent discount on stuffed animals and a 5-10 percent discount on some kinds of candies.

Agencies and bodies are able to buy candies for their own Mid-Autumn Festival at a discount, according to the supermarket’s representative. Many activities will also be held at the supermarket on the occasion.
