Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung and relevant bodies held a meeting with the delegation led by the US-based Institute for Social and Environmental Transition (ISET)’s senior associate Stephen Tyler on September 23.

At the meeting, vice director of Binh Dinh Natural Resources and Environment Department Dinh Van Tien briefed them on the implementation of the “Capacity building for climate change adaptation in Quy Nhon” project.

With the help of ISET, Rockefeller Foundation, and Britain's Challenge to Change, the province has made every effort to carry out the project.

Three sub-projects, including “Growing mangrove plants in Thi Nai lagoon”, “Supporting the fish sauce processing model in Nhon Ly”, and “Enhancing awareness, knowledge, and skills in building anti-storm houses and houses for the poor”, have initially reaped encouraging results.

Provincial Vice Chairman Dung expressed many thanks to ISET, Rockefeller Foundation, and relevant bodies for their support for the climate change adaptation project.

He also asked them to continue their support, helping the project being effectively implemented.
