4,505 tonnes of shrimps harvested

Over 404 ha of land have been employed for the second crop of shrimp farming in Binh Binh since early this year, in which 316 ha are for white leg shrimp farming and 88 ha are for black tiger shrimp farming, said the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

At present, 76.7ha of land for the second crop of white leg shrimp farming are ready for harvest now, giving an output of over 479 tonnes, of which Hoai Nhon harvests 64ha with 441 tonnes, Phu Cat 2.5ha with 8 tonnes and Tuy Phuoc 9.9ha with 29.8 tonnes.

Binh Dinh has harvested 4,505 tonnes of shrimps since early this year, in which the output of the white leg shrimp reaches 3,873 tonnes and output of the black tiger shrimp achieves 631 tonnes.

This year’s shrimp farming in Binh Dinh has enjoyed positive changes with high output and good shrimp disease control.
