Modified cassava starch plant kicks off

The Guangxi Mingyang Biochemistry Science & Technology Inc kicked off the construction of modified cassava starch plant in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone on September 28.

The plant which is designed to have the capacity of 100,000 tonnes per year will be built on an area of 20 ha with the total capital of US$50 million.

The project is expected to generate employment opportunities for 120 people when it is fully operational by late 2011.

This is the first project after Binh Dinh Province and Guangxi Province signed a cooperation agreement.
