The Binh Dinh Association of Historical Sciences (BAHS) hosted the second congress on January 2.

The BAHS has successfully organized many activities related to the fields of culture and history, such as consultative activities, debates over some projects, and the scientific workshop on “Nguyen Tat Thanh in Binh Dinh”.

The association greatly contributes to the popularization of history as well as the preservation of national cultural heritages.

It is expected to continue promoting its role in the 2011-2015 tenure, assisting the local authorities in controlling scientific studies and compiling the local history.

The association will also coordinate with Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences to carry out a campaign mobilizing all people to join their hands to cast statues of celebrities.

At the congress, a 17-member-executive panel was elected for the 2011-2015 tenure. Tran Huu Huy was appointed as the association’s Chairman.
